Taryn is the founder of Hope Haven Therapy. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, her passion lies in supporting individuals through their most challenging seasons. Her approach is rooted in life experience, clinical knowledge, and genuine compassion, focusing not just on treating symptoms but on building meaningful relationships.
She works with adolescents, adults, and families facing trauma, grief, anxiety, addiction, and complex life transitions. Taryn also LOVES premarital counseling with couples who are preparing to spend their lives together. She is trained in EMDR and Brainspotting and integrates modalities like CBT, Narrative Therapy, Gottman, Internal Family Systems, and Solution-Focused Therapy. She achieved certification as a Clinical Trauma Professional, Advanced Grief Counseling Specialist, Youth Mental Health Specialist, and Shame-Informed Treatment Specialist.
Taryn also serves as a clinical supervisor for pre-licensed therapists. She obtained her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Trevecca Nazarene University and a BA from Belmont University
Taryn is a breast cancer survivor, which has deepened her understanding of resilience and healing. She enjoys time with her husband and dogs, sharing coffee or a meal with loved ones, and exploring nature.
